Revision in Seat Nos. of passengers of C-10 Coach in Train No.12243/12244 Coimbatore – Chennai Central – Coimbatore Shatabdi Express Trains from 1.11.2014

       

    The composition of Train No.12243/12244 Coimbatore – Chennai Cental - Coimbatore Shatabdi express trains will be revised with effect from 01.11.2014, as the train will have modern state-of-the art and higher seating capacity LHB coaches in place of the conventional AC Chair cars. Consequent to the replacement of coaches, the seats for the passengers who are booked in C-10 coach from 01.11.2014 will be re-allotted to other coaches at the time of charting.

     Hence, passengers who have booked for their travel in C-10 coach of Shatabdi Express are requested to verify their coach and seat number on the date of journey from the enquiry counter / reservation charts / travelling ticket examiners (TTEs), before their journey. 

Resumption of Passenger train services between Mettupalayam and Coonoor on Tuesday 28.10.2014

As the restoration works on the landslide site near Kallar Railway Station in the Coonoor-Mettupalayam Section of the Nilgiri Mountain Railways have been completed, the services of Mettupalayam -Ooty-Mettupalayam Passenger trains Nos. 56136/56137 between METTUPALAYAM and COONOOR will resume on 28.10.2014 (Tuesday).             

Continuation of Partial cancellation of Passenger trains between Mettupalayam and Coonoor on Monday 27.10.2014

As the restoration works on the landslide site near Kallar Railway Station in the Coonoor-Mettupalayam Section of the Nilgiri Mountain Railways are yet to be completed due to incessant rains/inclement weather, the PARTIAL CANCELLATION of  Mettupalayam -Ooty-Mettupalayam Passenger trains Nos. 56136/56137 between METTUPALAYAM and COONOOR will continue  on 27.10.2014 (Monday) also.

One more day's Partial cancellation of Passenger trains between Mettupalayam and Coonoor

As the restoration works on the landslide site near Kallar Railway Station in the Coonoor-Mettupalayam Section of the Nilgiri Mountain Railways still continuing. Mettupalayam-Ooty-Mettupalayam Passenger trains Nos. 56136/56137 will be PARTIALLY CANCELLED between METTUPALAYAM and COONOOR for one more day i.e. on 25.10.2014 (Saturday). 

Stoppage and Partial cancellation of Passenger trains between Mettupalayam and Coonoor

Since there was a heavy landslide near Qallar Railway Station in the Coonoor-Mettupalayam Section of the Nilgiri Mountain Railway services at about 17.15 Hrs. the passenger train was stopped before Qallar and passengers were guided up to Qallar Station from where road transport was arranged by Salem Division for their onward journey up to Mettupalayam. Because of the restoration works that is to be carried out tomorrow (24.10.2014), the Mettupalayam-Ooty-Mettupalayam Passenger trains Nos. 56136/56137 are PARTIALLY CANCELLED between METTUPALAYAM and COONOOR for one day tomorrow, 24.10.2014 (Friday).
