Partial cancellation of Passenger trains between Coimbatore and Palakkad for 1 day

Due to track maintenance works between Valayar and Ettimada by the Palakkad Division, the following passenger trains are partially cancelled for one day viz. 28.09.2014 (Sunday) between Coimbatore and Palakkad.

1. Train Nos. 56650/56651 Cannanore Coimbatore Passenger - cancelled between Coimbatore and Palakkad

2. Train Nos. 66609/66608 Erode-Palakkad Town MEMU - cancelled between Coimbatore and Palakkad Town. 

Installation of Automated External Defibrillator (Emergency Cardiac Assistance Gadget) at Salem Junction

With the support of the Rotary Club of Salem International, an Automated External Defibrillator  machine is being installed in the Station Master’s room (in Platform No.4 of) Salem Junction, at about 11.00 hrs on 29^th Sep 2014 (Monday). Salem Division officials, doctors from the Govt. of Tamil Nadu and members of Rotary Club are participating. An automated external defibrillator (AED) is a portable electronic device that automatically diagnoses the life-threatening cardiac arrest condition in a patient, and is able to treat them through defibrillation, the application of electrical therapy which stops the arrest, allowing the heart to reestablish an effective rhythm. Such a machine has already been installed in the Coimbatore Junction of Salem Division.

From Bangalore Cantonment on 4.10.14 (Saturday)

From Trivandrum on 5.10.14 (Sunday)
