Availability of Online Booking of Retiring Rooms at Salem & Erode Junctions

The facility for online booking of retiring rooms available at Salem and Erode Junction has come into implementation from today (17.09.2014). Passengers from all over India, can now book the retiring rooms at the Salem and Erode Junctions. Vice versa, passengers can book retiring rooms at any station over Indian Railways, which has been provided with this facility, from Salem and Erode Junctions. This facility is already available in Coimbatore Junction from December, 2013, onwards. 

For this purpose, passengers should produce their confirmed tickets and valid ID proof to the Matron/Retiring room at Salem and Erode Junctions and book retiring rooms at the select stations that have been provided with this facility. All such stations have been provided terminals which are linked through intranet. This facility will be extended to other stations in Salem division soon.

In the alternative, passengers can also avail this facility on the Internet through the IRCTC website in the Accommodation / Retiring Rooms Column (http://www.irctctourism.com/cgi-bin/dev1.dll/irctc/services/rrhome.do#) for booking retiring rooms online, by providing confirmed PNR Number.
