Basics
The Principle of working is - The anaerobic bacteria available in the digester tank digest the human waste and thereby enabling zero-discharge.
The size of each tank is 540 X 1150 X 720 mm with an effective volume of 300 litres.
Bio-toilets are provided in both Indian style and Western Style lavatories.
All the bio-toilets maintained by Salem Division are in 100% working condition
