Trickster Posing As Railway Official Nabbed While Stealing Railway Materials

         N. Sudhakaran, (24), Son of K. Nachimuthu, a native of Vellodu, Erode, was apprehended by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel at the Perundurai Railway Station, near Erode, while he was loading rail track materials in a goods carrier van, with the help of other two accomplices. The said Sudhakaran approached the Sr. Section Engineer/Permanent Way, and presented himself as an Indian Railway Service (IRS) official and tried to steal the railway track materials under the guise of taking them for the purpose of quality check. On getting information from the Sr. Section Engineer/Permanent Way, RPF personnel of Erode, under the instructions from Shri I. Jones, Divisional Security Commissioner, Salem Division, apprehended the imposter, along with two of his co-conspirators by name of Subramani of Perundurai, Erode, and P. Prakash, of Uppilipalayam, Erode. Two vehicles (one Tata Ace and one Chevrolet Tavera) were also seized from the accused persons, that were used for the purpose. On an interrogation, it was revealed that the said Sudhakaran, was in the habit of posing himself as a railway official and steal railway properties and would sell them to a scrap dealer in Perundurai, Erode. On a search of the scrap dealer P. Jeevanandam, railway track materials to the tune of Rs.39,000/- were recovered and the said P. Jeevanandam, was also arrested for unlawful possession of railway property. The total cost of the property recovered from the scrap dealer and the said Sudhakaran amounts to Rs.46,100/- A case was registered  against all the 4 accused and they were produced before the Hon’ble Judicial Magistrate-II, Erode, who remanded them to judicial custody for 15 days.

      ஈரோடு மாவட்டம், வெள்ளோட்டைச் சேர்ந்த கே. நாச்சிமுத்து என்பவரது மகன் என். சுதாகரன் (வயது 24) ஈரோட்டிற்கு அருகில் உள்ள பெருந்துறை ரயில்நிலையத்தில் தனது இரு கூட்டாளிகளுடன் ரயில்வேக்கு சொந்தமான பொருட்களை திருடி ஒரு வண்டியில் ஏற்றிக் கொண்டிருந்த போது, ரயில்வே பாதுகாப்புப் படை வீரர்களால் கைது செய்யப்பட்டார். சுதாகரன் ரயில்தட முதுநிலைப் பகுதிப் பொறியாளரை அணுகி தான் ஒரு ரயில்வே உயர் அதிகாரி என்று அறிமுகம் செய்து கொண்டு ரயில் தண்டவாளங்களை தரப் பரிசோதனைக்காக எடுத்துச் செல்ல இருப்பதாக தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.  இந்த தகவல் கிடைத்தவுடன், சேலம் கோட்ட பாதுகாப்பு ஆணையர் திரு. ஐ.ஜோன்ஸ் அவர்களது ஆணையின் பேரில் ஈரோடு ரயில்வே பாதுகாப்புப் படை வீரர்கள் அங்கு வந்து சுதாகரனையும், அவரது கூட்டாளிகளான பெருந்துறையைச் சேர்ந்த சுப்ரமணி என்பவரையும், உப்பிலிப்பாளையத்தைச் சேர்ந்த பி. பிரகாஷ் என்பவரையும் கைது செய்தனர்.  அவர்கள் ரயில்வே தண்டவாளங்களை கடத்த உபயோகப்படுத்திய ஒரு டாடா ஏஸ் வேனும், செவர்வே டவேரா வாகனமும் கைப்பற்றப்பட்டன. விசாரணயின் போது, சுதாகரன் தன்னை ஒரு ரயில்வே அதிகாரி என்று அறிமுகப்படுத்திக் கொண்டு ரயில்வே பொருட்களை திருடி பெருந்துறையில் உள்ள பி.ஜீவானந்தம் என்பவரது பழைய பொருட்கள் விற்கும் கடையில் விற்று வந்தது தெரிய வந்தது.  ஜீவானந்தத்தின் கடையில் சோதனை இட்டதில் சுமார் 39,000 ரூபாய் மதிப்புள்ள ரயில்தண்டவாளம் மீட்கப்பட்டது.  இந்த நான்கு பேரும் சட்ட விரோதமாக ரயில்வே பொருட்களை வைத்திருந்ததன் பொருட்டு வழக்கு பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டு மாண்புமிகு ஈரோடு இரண்டாவது குற்றவியல் நடுவர் முன் ஆஜர் செய்யப்பட்டனர். அவர் இந்த நான்கு பேரையும் 15 நாட்கள் நீதிமன்றக் காவலில் வைக்க ஆணை பிறப்பித்தார். குற்றம் சாட்டப்பட்டுள்ளவர்களிடம் இருந்து கைப்பற்றப் பட்டுள்ள ரயில்வே சொத்துக்களின் மொத்த மதிப்பு சுமார் 46,100 ரூபாய்களாகும்.
