As a part of continuous efforts by Indian Railways to keep the railways clean, a Cleanliness Campaign as part of Honorable Prime Minister’s Swachch Bharat initiative, was held at Salem Junction today (19.09.2015).

About 60 Volunteers of NSS from Sona College of Technology, Salem, and employees of Salem Division, Southern Railway, participated in the Cleanliness Campaign and cleaned the station premises. They also met the passengers and educated them of the importance of their cooperation in keeping the railway premises. They also distributed pamphlets and handouts containing various cleanliness messages.
