Ministry of Railways is taking various initiatives
to inculcate the sense of belongingness and camaraderie among the railway
employees, with a view to make them feel that they are taken care of. As a novel step towards this direction,
recently, the Ministry of Railways has launched a program under which, a
personal Greeting Message under the name of the Hon’ble Minister for Railways,
Shri Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu, would be sent to the mobile number (that is
available on records) of the employee whose birthday falls on a particular day,
similar to the following message:
“Dear ….. (name of the employee),
I Wish you a very happy birthday and appreciate
your contribution to Indian Railways.
I hope that you shall put in your best efforts to
take the Indian Railways to new heights in the Future.
Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu
Minister for Railways”
When the contact number of the employee is not
available with the administration, a system generated birth day wishes are
delivered through the Senior Supervisor of that particular employee.
This system has started functioning recently and
the employees who have received such birthday greeting messages expressed their
surprise and happiness over the initiative.
