The revision of fares announced by the Ministry of Railways comes into effect from 25.06.2014. With a view to help the passengers who have booked tickets earlier and are travelling in trains on or after 25.06.2014, the following arrangements have been made by Salem Division, Southern Railway to collect the difference in fares :
1. The Travelling Ticket Examiners of the particular train will collect the difference in fares.
2. Special Counters at all major stations for collection of difference in fares. These counters will work round the clock.
3. In the normal advance reservation counters (other than Tatkal booking counters), priority will be given for the passengers who need to pay the difference in fares.
4. Frequent public announcements will be made in all stations regarding the availability of special counters for remittance of difference of fares.
ரயில்வே அமைச்சகத்தால் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ள கட்டண மாற்றங்கள் 25.06.2014 முதல் அமலுக்கு வருகின்றன. எனவே, முன்னரே முன்பதிவு பயணச் சீட்டுகள் வாங்கி விட்டு 25,06,2014 அல்லது அதற்குப் பிறகு பயணம் செய்ய உள்ள பயணிகள், அதிகரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ள கட்டணத்தினை செலுத்த வசதியாக தெற்கு ரயில்வே சேலம் கோட்டம் கீழ்க்கண்ட ஏற்பாடுகளை செய்துள்ளது.
1. ஒவ்வொரு ரயிலிலும் பயணம் செய்யும் பயணச் சீட்டு பரிசோதகர்களிடம் அதிகரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ள கட்டணத்தை பயணிகள் செலுத்தலாம்.
2. முக்கிய ரயில் நிலையங்களில் அதிகரித்துள்ள பயணக் கட்டணத்தை செலுத்த வசதியாக தனிக் கவுண்டர்கள் செயல்படும். இத்தகு கவுண்டர்கள் 24 மணி நேரமும் இயங்கும்.
3. வழக்கமான பயணச்சீட்டு முன்பதிவு கவுண்டர்களில் (தத்கல் கவுண்டர்கள் நீங்கலாக) அதிகரிக்கப்பட்ட பயணக் கட்டணத்தை செலுத்த வரும் பயணிகளுக்கு முன்னுரிமை தரப்படும்.
4, அனைத்து ரயில் நிலையங்களிலும் தனிக் கவுண்டர்கள் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது குறித்து அடிக்கடி அறிவிப்புகள் செய்யப்படும்.
